VashonOrganics.com was an e-commerce site that sold natural and organic skin care products. I built the site with IA Modules software, using XML, XSLT logic and CSS. The site is fully integrated with QuickBooks accounting software, and synchs items, customers, orders and more bi-directionally between the webstore and QuickBooks.
Pacific NW Expeditions provides coastal and offshore passages, charters, deliveries, lessons and more in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest. Peter has been a client and friend for many years. The site has been very successful in bringing in new clients each season. Ryan was educated at The Evergreen State College and graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He got started with web design in 2004 while traveling in Northern Thailand working on a volunteer project to create a website for a permaculture operation. Since then he has gone on to work for companies such as IAModules.com, VashonOrganics.com and BlueRidgeCompany.com.
His strong points include: a knack for listening to and communicating with clients and a well rounded knowledge of current web strategies. Ryan's goal is to work hard and efficiently to create websites his clients can look at everyday and smile.
I'm currently heading up the design and front end dev department at IA Modules. In the last 4 years working with IAM I've had the opportunity to work with hundreds of clients from all types of businesses.
I've been successfully running a freelance operation for a number years. I was an early adopter of WordPress and have worked extensively with the platform, creating numerous custom themes and modules.
I came on as a founding partner at Vashon Organics in 2006. I helped build and successfully run the e-commerce operation for nearly 5 years. Web traffic steadily increased during that period and web conversion rates remained above average for the industry.
During this period I participated in various e-commerce projects or directly in web site production. My primary focus was web marketing, search engine optimization and sales conversion. I also acted as director of back end development for the site, working with employees and back-end programmers to create an efficient and manageable web store.
